Child Hood

I was born and raised in Pakistan’s capital Islamabad therefore had my education there as well.
I always wanted to be a pilot but could not persue it as there was no support or direction available in Pakistan at that time. I was not sure what I will do and what I was good in. It was a very difficult time for me as my mother wanted me to become a doctor and I was very scared of blood. I on the other hand was in a desperate need of a direction. Unfortunately I was given a advice to take economics as a core subject and that I later on realized was not my cup of tea. I wanted to take Computer Science as my core major but to get that I had to take Double Mathematics in my Bachelors.
I always liked to take pictures and edit them but never knew there was an artist hiding inside me. I sometime feel so sad that in underdeveloped countries children spend their lives to find out what they are good at and some time can never find it that out at all.

Education

Bachelor: Double Mathematics and Statistics
Masters: Computer Science

Work life

I got married to a British born as soon as I finished my degree and moved to United kingdom (2005). Initially I could not find any job as I was not sure what I wanted to do. Computer Science is vast and other than the degree I had no work experience under my belt. In Pakistan kids finish degree first and then start working on the other hand in UK children work along with their studies. So I was stuck in a loop as for some jobs I was over qualified with no work experience and for others I was under qualified.
In short I worked free for a TV channel helping them organize events. Worked for a council interpreting between Urdu and English. Also worked as a volunteer for Metropolitan police.
One day my husband mentioned (he is also in IT) that his company converts films from 2D to 3D and they are looking for artists. He offered me a laptop and book of 3D software Maya to see if I could learn. At first it was hard but then with the help of his friend I managed to get a hold of it. It was really interesting and some how was giving me a hidden dose of satisfaction. I gave an interview and got the job as stereoscopic artist. That is when I fell in love with stereo and visual effects.
I worked in Stereo Conversion industry for 9 years and absolutely loved it.
Unfortunately due to COVID 19 I lost my job on 3rd sep 2020. I will always miss the joys of bringing life in films by converting them in stereo.

Modeling

I have done modeling for fun for some Islamic shows. It was a great experience and was a little bit scary too as you have to have good amount of confidence to walk the cat walk. I was an an average model I would say but I really enjoyed. Check some pictures.
